THE WISEARTWORK COLLECTIONS

Alfred John Wise (1908 – 1985) was a prolific artist creating over 1000 watercolour paintings of plants and flowers whilst engaged at RHS Wisley in Surrey.

He was classically trained at Birmingham Art School in the 1920s, a true eccentric and loner he lived in a ramshackle caravan in the grounds at RHS Wisley, surrounded by his brushes, paints and his beloved artwork.

Wiseartwork was established in 2014 by the sole surviving great niece of Alfred John Wise.

In 2017 Wiseartwork directly collaborated with Romo using The Wiseartwork Collection to create Gardinia, a collection of fabrics and cushions.
