British Artist Beryl Cook as Popular as ever

British artist, Beryl Cook has always had a large international following, from those who remember her colourful paintings & interviews on Spotlight in the 80’s through to art students who continue to have her techniques taught as part of their fine art course.

UK agency, This is Iris, launched the first of the Beryl Cook lines with partner Carousel Calendars.

Beautifully designed calendars, diaries and MTV’s were the first of many products released. “We had such a wonderful response to this collection that it wasn’t long before we were reviewing proposals from partners across the board” Sarah Lawrence

Over the past few years we have welcomed partners Otter House (Greeting Cards & Stationery) Dunoon (Ceramics) Ravensburger UK (Jigsaw Puzzles) Wentworth Wooden Puzzles (Jigsaws) Smith Taylor (Home & Kitchen) Bothy Threads (Cross Stitch Kits) Fiesta Studios (Ceramic Tiles) One Button (Jewellery)

With new partners working hard to have products approved and produced in time for Spring Fair 2018.

We are currently in talks with two wonderful partners who are looking to create something very special for 2018.  More information will be disclosed closer to BLE next month.

Beryl’s family have recently held a summer exhibition in her home town of Plymouth, where again, thousands of people have flocked to see original paintings, personal artefacts and family photographs, many of which have never been shared before. The exhibition included a pop up show which allowed visitors to purchase official licensed products with all partners pulling out the stops to make this happen.

The exhibition has been so successful that there are plans to take it on tour across the UK throughout 2018.

Though Beryl sadly passed away some time ago, her family have worked hard to support partners by creating patterns, character cutouts, new themed collages and all important high resolution scans, resulting in over 300 images now available to licence!

We have been overwhelmed by the love shown for this collection, you just can’t help but smile at Beryls humorous observations.
